PROFESSIONAL SPORTS CATERING, LLC LANDS FIRST SPRING TRAINING VENUE
Company agrees to fifteen year deal to manage Food Service Operation at Peoria Sports Complex
EVANSTON, IL- February 21, 2014-- Professional Sports Catering, LLC, (PSC) in conjunction with the City of Peoria, announced a partnership today that PSC will manage all aspects of the food service at the Peoria Sports Complex (Spring Training home of San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners), including the entire Cactus League season and any event taking place on the grounds.
“This is a very important step in the evolution of PSC.” said Tom Dickson, CEO of PSC. “We have identified Spring Training venues as an important area of PSC’s foot print, and we couldn’t be happier about a partnership with the City of Peoria. Their staff represent one of the most forward thinking groups in the Cactus League, and we are enthusiastic about the chance to work together to make Peoria Stadium a premier destination.”
Over the past eight years, PSC has experienced tremendous growth throughout minor league baseball. As a partner of now seventeen venues across the country, PSC’s commitment to live cooking and ‘POSITIVELY OUTRAGEOUS’ guest service has allowed it to become one of the largest in MiLB. Now PSC is looking to actively grow in the Spring Training circuit. “We believe that the same approach that has been so successful in minor league baseball will translate very well to the spring training environment,” said Dickson. “We are excited that the Peoria staff feels the same way.”
“Twenty years ago the City of Peoria was a pioneer of two team facilities for spring training and player development in Major League baseball,” said Chris Calcaterra, Sports Facilities Manager for the City of Peoria. “We view the beginning of this partnership with Professional Sports Catering as another pioneering model of success. With their creativity and specialized focus on providing food services at sporting events, we are destined for a great relationship”

Professional Sports Catering, LLC is the only full service food & beverage company that focuses exclusively on Minor League Baseball. Tom Dickson and his partner, Sherrie Myers launched the company in 2005 to serve the needs of minor league baseball teams across the country. The PSC business model focuses on high quality, fresh, cooked-before-your-eyes food and an almost obsessive level of customer service and partnership with its clients. In 2011, PSC announced a joint venture partnership with Mandalay Baseball Properties, who have become active partners in the strategic growth of the company.
